Uber is one of the most popular taxi apps, listed below are some of their safety features:
• You can make sure you’re getting in the right car by matching the number plate, car make and model, and driver photo with the details provided in your app.
• Uber drivers will see your first name in their app, so for additional safety you could ask ‘Who are you here to pick up?’
• Wherever possible sit in the back seat.
• You can share the details of the taxi, driver, trip location and an ETA with friends and family via a text message or push notification by tapping the ‘Share My Trip Status’ in the app. 🥢 Stick with your friends
• Make sure your mobile phone is fully charged and you remember to take it with you.
• Let family and friends know where you are going and what time you will be back. Stick with your friends
• Try and avoid using dark alleys or quiet streets, especially at night.
